The project is born
Hi Horsepower Junkies
We are all part of a very special community in Europe. We are the ones who proudly drive our Pony cars amoung the European hybrids, smart cars, electric cars and geniously use the gasoline that all the others save! (ecomental people who hug trees!). I opened this blog to everyone who is a Mustang fan and has made him or herself isolated from all the ongoing hippie madness in Europe and who has become a warrior for defending Mustang rights against "Strassenverkhersamt" -- the government body which hires the most car unfriendly people to basicaly regulate our vehicles.
Why do we love Mustangs? This is a question as hard to answer as "what is love"? or "what is the meaning of life?" or "who am I"? or "who the hell are you?" when ask the girl next to you after waking up to a massive hangover. All I know is we all carry our Mustangs in our hearts. We drive around 10 mins at a parking lot trying to find a space that is atleast 20m away to any other, we pullover on the highway just to wash away that bird poo using microfiber cloth and car wax! While the angry wife sits and stares at you thinking "what the hell is wrong with you?". We store our cars for winter in a garage, wax it and wear it with a tent. But then, spend every other night secretly walking down to the garage and sitting in the car while it is snowing outside. Thinking how wonderful that our Pony cars are safe and warm inside :)
I know for sure that one of the reasons why I love my pony car is it's raw V8 muscle power. We dont need all those fancy electronics and doppelkuplunggetriebeapparatmachine-x2dtc style transmission. Nor the kind of space aluminum nuclear war radiation resistant fuel door that Audi installs after spending 200 mil Euro for developing it in their underground German secret labs. The mustang is a simple, heavy metal steel, pure V8 powered muscle that makes you feel your ass is connected straight to the rear axle.
2011 was an awesome year. Ford released the famous Coyote 5.0 engines that have quickly won several prices for being one of the most developped and efficient 5.0 V8 engine. I know most of us are quite happy keeping it stock at 412hp. But I always had a feeling that the car was built to handle much more. As Switzerland, being one of the most hardcore countries for promoting everyone to ride a skateboard to work than driving, it has almost been an impossible task for us to freely pimp up and personalize our rides.
BUT.. I have decided to take the challenge and study to find ways to install a legendary Roush TVS 2300 supercharger in my pony car. I am starting this blog to take you all through the process until I can finally install this baby and fully legalize it in Switzerland. I hope that I will be successful so that one day we can all enjoy our boosted Coyote powered Mustangs and give the GT500 owners a new war :)
Please stay tuned for updates as I am still developing the project plan. Meanwhile take a look at this fantastic article. Roush TVS Installation and Dyno Results on a 2011 Mustang GT Automatic This will give you some heads up what kind of beast and yet, daily drivable love machine I will end up building.
Stay tuned brothers and sisters..
