Update on additional parts order
Roush Supercharger Plug&Play Wiring harness : Here
Installation of the supercharger kit requires a few OEM wiring to be cut, repinned and extended. I ordered this plug and play wiring extension harness so that I can save time from the installation and also keep the OEM wiring as-is.
90mm Idler and 82mm 9.5psi Pulley: Here
I decided to order 82mm pulley to further challenge the power levels.
The standard pulley from Roush is 85mm and provides 8.5psi boost. With a good custom tuning this could help putting 520hp on the wheels (610-615hp crank). The 82mm pulley increases the boost to 9.5psi with closed airbox meaning additional 35-40hp at the wheels. I expect to have a final figure of 560 wheel hp at least which is about 660 crank hp.
The 90mm idler is to replace the stock 75mm idler that Roush supplies. The reason is, smaller 82mm pulley might cause some slack in the belt tension and eventually pulley slip. 90mm idler will tighten things up and make sure max belt traction is available.
Some might wonder isnt 9.5 psi too high? Ford Racing provides a 9psi FRPP Supercharger package as OEM option. Ofcourse it voids all warranty but I am just wildly guessing that if 9psi was dangerous or couldnt be handled by stock Coyote internals, why would FRPP offer it at all? The internet is also full of Coyote examples running +10-11psi in daily driven cars for thousands of miles.
Tuning Updates
VMP Tuning is currently the leader in Roush supercharger tunin in the US. They offer remote custom tuning by datalogging and reviewing up to 5 times for $349. I will be receiving two performance tunes from them; one for 85mm and one for 82mm pulley. Their claim is that they have all the knowledge and experience to safely put down about 530rwhp (85mm) and 565+rwhp (82mm). VMP is also one of Roush's official aftermarket partners that contributed to developing Roush stock calibration.
Can't wait to hit the dyno once the project is completed.
